SOPHIE MIRMAN wondered wheather she was making a mistakes when she left her well-paid managerial job to start up the 'sock shop' chain.now two and a half years later.SOPHIE and her husband/partner RICHAD,both 29 years old,are bosses of 20 shop with a turnover of more than 6 milion.and they plan to open six more shops very soon.

You need to be confident,organised,determined and above all.you need to persevere,says SOPHIE who starts work at 8 am and finishes at 8 pm,six days a week.multiply hard work by 6 if you want to be rich.

Thirteen years ago PATRICIA GRANT and her angineer husband Alexander lived in a small flat above their TV and radio shop in caithness in the far north of scotland.today their deep freeze manufacturing business, norforst employs 100 workers on a 6 million a year turnover, supplying europe , the middle east and america .patricia recalled the early days when the first freezers were made in their spare bedroom

What alexander and i needed to suceed was a gread capacity for hard work . determination and abelief in our product . i dont think you can get rich over night . its more of a steady built up
